Gokul N. Kumar, M.D.

Dr. Kumar received his B.S. in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University and his M.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He completed his ophthalmology residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, where he spent an additional year as Chief Resident and clinical instructor to residents. During his fellowship at Emory University, whose fellowships have ranked in the top three for over three decades, Dr. Kumar completed his surgical retina fellowship. A number of medical honors have been awarded to Dr. Kumar; among them, faculty at Washington University chose him as the best clinical and surgical ophthalmology resident.
